Betty, 81 year old grandmother of 5, lives in her home and has retired her car keys due to failing vision. She struggles with preparing a meal due to severe arthritis. Instead of her usual bagel and tea for lunch, a volunteer driver brings her a hot lunch of roast pork, boiled potatoes, gravy, red cabbage, cottage rye bread, and mandarin oranges. Betty is able to receive the protein and nutrition she needs and she knows a friendly volunteer will be there every day to check on her.
