Girl Scouts of Central Illinois is in need of volunteers for our event and series offerings!
Events: GSCI offers a wide variety of one-time events available throughout the year. Volunteers can assist with delivering these fun, educational opportunities for girls. Topics include Arts, Girl Empowerment, Outdoor Adventures, and Real World Skills.
Adults will help with snacks, art activities, games, and various hands-on opportunities!
No previous experience necessary!
Series: GSCI offers a series of activities with the same group of girls relating to a specific theme or purpose. These are typically 4 - 6 week sessions meeting once a week for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Topics include Girl Empowerment and Real World Skills.
Adults will help lead sessions as well as assist with activities and various hands-on opportunities!
The Girl Scouts is a girl-driven nationwide organization founded in 1912 by Juliette Gordon Low. Girl Scouting helps girls develop their full potential; relate to others with respect; develop values and contribute to the improvement of society through their abilities, leadership skills, and cooperation with others. Volunteers are the heart and soul of the Girl Scout organization. Girl Scouts of Central Illinois is comprised of seven service centers located in Bloomington, Champaign, Decatur, Peoria, Peru, Quincy, and Springfield, with headquarters in Springfield. We proudly serve over 20,000 girls and 5,000 adult members annually across 38 counties in central Illinois. We are chartered by Girl Scouts of the USA and are a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization.
