Shining Hope Farms was created for, but not limited to provide services to people with disabilities, that includes hippotherapy, therapeutic horseback riding, family and caregiver support, and social and recreational activities.

A program like ours relies on amazing volunteers to keep serving children and adults in the capacity that we do, and to be able to serve more.

We are always in need of more volunteers, so if you are interested in learning about the available volunteer opportunities at Shining Hope Farms please read on.

What would I be doing?

Here at Shining Hope Farms volunteers usually do one, or a combination of two things:

1) Barn work/Care of the horses and tack

2) Participation in the arena for a therapy session or riding lesson

We can also usually use volunteers for a) help in our office, b) for our special events, and c) for special projects. If you have special skills we're sure we could use them!

We understand that our volunteers may have tons of experiences with horses, some experience with horses, or even none at all! We want our volunteers to be happy and comfortable so we are always willing to work with your schedule, interests, and skills and abilities.

How much time do I have to commit and when?

In order to provide dependability to our riders, we ask our volunteers to commit to at least at least a couple of hours a week for eight weeks.
