Women in Technology Education Foundation was created in 2003 to identify and fund programs that support the interests of girls and young women from the 6th grade through college to pursue STEM curricula and technology-related careers. Our specific mission is to use education to create awareness and excitement and to prepare girls and young women to launch successful technology-related careers. We are an organization led by volunteers who share the WIT Education Foundation mission . Volunteers are always needed & warmly welcomed! Opportunities include smaller one-time tasks to ongoing programs and events. All in-person volunteer meetings are typically held in the Washington DC Metro area and via conference calls.
