Assist the Chairman of Fundraising with developing fundraising strategies. May be responsible for developing major gift opportunities and writing grant proposals.
Also, may include: Maintain donor relationships though phone calls, letters, tours and management of various cultivation events. Plan and coordinate annual fundraising breakfast, working with Board members, staff, and other volunteers. Work to obtain corporate sponsorships for events. Maintain regular contact with foundation program officers. Strong organization and project management skills with self-discipline to follow up and follow through on the activities of a large team. Demonstrated success in various development strategies with an emphasis on individual donor campaigns, corporate sponsorship, or event management. Ability to cultivate one-on-one relationships with individual donors. Effective written and oral communication, both one-on-one and group presentations. Ability to motivate and inspire others by commitment to mission and enthusiasm for asking for money. Initiative and ability to work independently.

Mission Statement
The mission of G.I. Joe Search & Rescue is to provide assistance & resources to local authorities and families with missing loved ones. We are a self-activating team of search & rescue volunteers, and we respond when notified of an emergency rescue or recovery mission. We strive to prevent and assist in emergency rescue situations by: 1) preparing and training ourselves with survival and SAR techniques, and 2) educating the public on safety and survival techniques.
