Are you ready to be a champion for the most deserving members of our community? Join Helping Hands of Vegas Valley (HHOVV) as a Saturday Vehicle Loader and help deliver a lifeline of groceries and essential items to homebound seniors. Every act of kindness can brighten their day and make a tremendous impact on their lives.

As a Saturday Vehicle Loader, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our army of Grocery Delivery Champion volunteers can efficiently distribute groceries, protein, paper products, and bread to those who need it most. On the 1st and/or 3rd Saturday of each month, you'll work alongside a passionate team, united in their commitment to bringing smiles and sustenance to our cherished seniors.

What will you do as a Saturday Vehicle Loader?

  • Arrive at our distribution center with a can-do attitude and a desire to help.
  • Assist in loading groceries and essential supplies into vehicles, carefully organizing them for efficient delivery.
  • Work as part of a dynamic team, fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with our dedicated volunteers to ensure smooth coordination and delivery of supplies.
  • Provide occasional assistance with unloading and restocking items at the distribution center, ensuring we are always ready to serve.

Helping Hands of Vegas Valley, a 501c3 (2000), with a volunteer Board of Directors is working to provide access to basic services for the senior population in the Las Vegas Valley area at no cost to them. We believe that every senior deserves to live a happy and healthy life, and we strive to make that a reality for all of our clients. Serving Seniors 60 and Greater in Our Community Since 2000

Helping Hands of Vegas Valley (HHOVV) is a dedicated non-profit organization that offers five essential programs to low-income seniors aged 60 and greater in the Las Vegas community, completely free of charge. Each month, we proudly serve over 3,500 seniors who rely on our comprehensive programs and services to support and enhance their quality of life.Helping Hands of Vegas Valley (HHOVV) is a dedicated non-profit organization that offers five essential programs to low-income seniors aged 60 and above in the Las Vegas community, completely free of charge. Each month, we proudly serve over 3,500 seniors who rely on our comprehensive programs and services to support and enhance their quality of life.

Our programs include:
A well-stocked pantry providing nutritious food items
Respite care for caregivers, offering much-needed breaks
Reliable transportation services to medical appointments and other essential destinations
Minor home repair assistance to ensure safe and comfortable living conditions
Nutrition programs designed to promote healthy eating habits and overall well-being


All types of volunteers are welcome: Groups, families, individuals, organizations. One time commitments to long term commitments!

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 18
  • Volunteers will arrive at our facility around 7:45 AM and will be done at the latest 9:00AM.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 20-25 pounds. A compassionate heart and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of homebound seniors.
