Mission Statement

Family Pathways mission is to work with communities to develop supportive, caring relationships to help people meet their basic needs.

Description

There are many ways to volunteer with Family Pathways. You may work with our food shelves, seniors services, youth services or domestic abuse program (Refuge Network). New opportunities are available on a regular basis. Family Pathways operates nine Thrift Stores throughout the service area. The Thrift Stores transform community donations of gently used clothing and household goods into financial support for Family Pathways' programs. Family Pathways operates nine Food Shelves and two Food Partnerships to help stabilize those who are struggling to make ends meet. Refuge Network provides services for victims of domestic abuse. Family Pathways Youth Services helps disadvantaged, at-risk, and special-needs youth by providing programming that is designed to build assets and skills necessary to become economically independent, healthy, and caring adults. These programs incorporate the benefit of mentoring relationships. Aging Services improves the quality of life for older adults and their families by providing critical services that help them meet their basic needs in order to remain at home for as long as possible. Companionship involves home visits by trained volunteers to provide companionship and non-medical help to support independent living; Adult Day Break (social respite programs) give clients an opportunity to socialize and caregivers a much-needed break and Caregiver consulting, education and support classes all work to assist those caring for older adults.
