Help provide creative, supportive and structured interaction through Boulder County Community Justice Services for peopl required to perform court-ordered community service hours.
This includes scheduling in-person set up meetings with clients, listening to their ideas and interests about where they might serve the community and matching them with approved non-profit organizations who need help. Typically they need to complete between 16 and 60 hours of service as an alternative to other sentencing.
Follow up includes meeting or talking with the organization to make sure the hours are being satisfied, data entry of information and continued interaction with clients performing volunteer hours. We're looking for computer savvy, kind, compassionate, organized and creative thinkers. Those wanting to serve the community with genuine customer service are sought.
Ideally, one day per week (1 year commitment) would be most helpful, although half days can be accommodated for a mutually agreed upon longer term commitment (at least 1.5 years). Many of our successful volunteers have been with us for more than 4 years, or have gone on to become county employees.
Background check and fingerprinting required. 21 years and older.
