Bring a smile to a patient - Discharge Volunteers Needed!

Volunteer Desk - This is a fast-paced assignment designed to "seal the deal" with our patients and their family members. We may have made a good first impression when we provided directions or delivered flowers during the patient’s stay - but our goal is to make a great last impression at discharge! You won’t be bored as this assignment has lots of patient interaction, and lots of different responsibilities. In addition to discharging patients, volunteers deliver specimens to the lab, run errands, deliver and retrieve equipment for units, help in other departments with special projects as needed, deliver mail and flowers to patients, maintain cough stations and the wheelchair inventory. High priority service area.
Hours are daily 9a-6pm.
Volunteers are asked to commit to a regular schedule and must be able to push a patient in a wheelchair (training provided).
