Each year, between 90-150 people from across the US and Canada attend The Children’s Music Network’s annual 3 day conference. There are spontaneous song swaps and networking, as well as structured workshops and presentations, a keynote address and special award ceremonies.
Our project is to assemble the conference program guide that includes the schedule, program notes, and advertisements sold for the program into a booklet that will be folded, copied (B&W as color too expensive) and stapled.
Last year’s program was 20 pgs ( 8.5 x 11 folded). We provide final copy and work in Google docs. The copy is then assembled into a PDF guide incorporating about 20 ads, The ads are sent to us as PDF’s, hopefully to the size specified in the Ad insertion document. Occasionally ad’s will need to be re-sized, or even created from a logo although this is not the norm.
The conference this year begins October 2. We will have all the materials ready by mid-August and will need to have our guide ready to print by September 21

Mission Statement
The Children's Music Network celebrates the positive power of music in the lives of children by sharing songs, exchanging ideas and creating community.
Description
Our membership includes full-time and part-time performers, songwriters, classroom teachers, music educators, librarians, storytellers, record producers, distributors, broadcasters, parents, grandparents, and children. We sing, share, teach, write, play, perform, produce and enjoy children's music. We are diverse in age, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, and culture. We welcome all musical styles.
We meet and stay in touch to share songs and ideas about children's music, to inspire each other about the empowering ways adults and young people can communicate through music, and to be a positive catalyst for education and community-building through music.
Our chapters work to support the creation and dissemination of life-affirming, multicultural musical forms for, by, and with young people. CMN regional chapters all around the country organize both local and regional gatherings which are open to CMN members and non-members alike.
