Looking to make a difference in your community? You have selected the right place! Volunteering as little as one hour a week can help your career, your relationships and your community! Plus, here at the Boutique we had tons of fun!

New Beginnings Thrift Boutique is looking for volunteers at their store at 82 High Street in beautiful downtown Somersworth, NH. 100% of our profits go towards helping the Greater Seacoast community's low income and homeless population. We are not your ordinary thrift store!

As a volunteer you will:

  • Greet/assist customers
  • Process incoming donations
  • Create store displays
  • Keep the store looking neat and clean
  • Operate a cash register
  • Become a valuable part of a fun and dedicated community, knowing that you are making a difference!

Commitment:

- at least one 4 hour shift a week

Store hours:

Tuesday-Saturday 10 AM - 6 PM

*We are in greater need for Friday and Saturday shifts*

Volunteers age 16+ are welcome. This is an excellent opportunity for everyone from students to retirees. We will train you on our store policies and our user-friendly cash register.

Our boutique offers quality home goods, furniture and clothing at significantly reduced prices, in a clean, well-organized pleasant and inviting atmosphere. We give gently used donations a "new beginning"!

About New Beginnings Thrift Boutique

Location:

82 High Street, Somersworth, NH 03878, US

Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide relief to the poor, the distressed or underprivileged, to help and nurture those in need, to feed the hungry, to bring hope to the hopeless, and make a difference one life at a time.

Description

New Beginnings Thrift Boutique, a nonprofit store located in downtown Somersworth has affordable, unique thrift store finds mixed along with area craftsmanship and is also a sustainable revenue stream for the New Beginnings Transitional Training Program, for homeless families and single woman.

The NBTB is a project of Seeds of Faith, a multi-faceted outreach ministry to the low-income and the homeless of our community. The thrift store offers quality goods and clothing at significantly reduced prices, as well as provides a shop that is clean, well organized, pleasant, and inviting, giving gently used donations a "new beginning".

Seeds of Faith, Inc has been impacting the Seacoast area for several years. We offer hope in the form of respectful listening to need, to serving healthy meals, and performing a variety of services to encourage independent living and renewal of self-respect.

Services We Provide:

  • Monthly dinners for the homeless
  • Weekly lunches for the homeless
  • Life skills for individuals
  • Food Pantry for local families and individuals
  • Connect those in need to helpful resources
  • Regular visits, events and Christmas gifts at a children’s home
  • Provide furniture, groceries, counseling, clothes, diapers and toys for children
  • To treat everyone with respect, integrity and grace
  • To continue to learn, grow and excel in our services

We have been blessed through the work we have been able to do and in October 2011 we embarked on our newest journey, the New Beginnings Thrift Boutique and future New Beginnings Transitional Training Program!

We would love for you to join our team of dedicated and passionate volunteers!
