Mission Statement

In communion with Christ and with the world, First Christian Church serves God by building spiritual bridges between people. Inspired by Christ and the Spirit, we plant seeds of caring in the world, using gifts of music, active service, teaching, and openness. United in Holy Faith, individuals work together to create a unique way of sharing faith.

Description

First Christian Church over 75 years ago as an expression of that spirit of unity and liberty in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The church is an Open and Affirming congregation, as a natural extension of the idea that everyone is welcome at the Table of the Lord.

First Christian is part of the Disciples of Christ denomination and has always been ecumenical and community minded.

This faith community welcomes those with more questions than answers; welcoming everyone.

There is also a Spanish speaking congregation meeting in the same building, Viento de Gracia. This group meets at 5:00 pm Sundays and 7:00 pm Thursdays.
