The recording department in our library needs individuals with a clear speaking voice and attention to detail to record books that will be enjoyed by the visually-impaired.
Book recording sessions will be arranged for weekday afternoons only according to your availibility and the availibility of the recording staff.

The goal of the Talking Book & Braille Center, a bureau of the New Jersey State Library and affiliate of Thomas Edison State College, is to serve people who cannot efectively read standard print because of a visual impairment, learning disability,or physical disability,and to create opportunities for life-long learning and literacy through free provision and promotion of accessible materials. Our vision is for all New Jerseyans to have free and equal access to the types of materials available in public libraries.

Services provided by TBBC include:
free library of downloadable audiobooks, magazines and braille, free audiobook player and audiobooks delivered to your home, The Get Together Book Club, available on-site and by conference call, and so much more!
