Volunteers contributed more than 114,000 hours in 2017. Volunteers do everything from repackaging bulk food into family-sized packages and sorting canned goods from food drives. Several hundred people also help us with fundraising events including food drives such as NALC food drive, Taste of the Tiger, Partnership Against Hunger, One for One Holiday Food Drive and other activities throughout central and northeast Missouri. You’re invited to volunteer one time or on a regular basis. Come with a group or come by yourself. There’s always someone you can team up with at The Food Bank. NOTE - Children must be nine (9) years of age AND 48" in height or taller to serve during normal operation hours. Refer to Kids Helping Kids Day for service event for children under the age of nine (9).

Operation hours are as follows:

Monday - Thursday 8:30am-10:30am, 10:30am-12:30pm, 1pm-4pm, 4pm-6pm and 6pm-830pm

Friday 8:30am-10:30am, 10:30am-12:30pm, 1pm-3pm, 3pm-5pm

Saturday 9:00am-11:30am and 12:30pm-3:00pm

Description

The Food Bank is a regional disaster and hunger relief network that acquires and distributes millions of pounds of donated food annually.

Our food bank is one of few food banks nationwide that does not charge for the food it provides. Our food goes to soup kitchens, emergency food pantries, shelters for the abused and homeless, programs for low income children and senior citizens, and rehabilitation centers.
