About Catholic Charities Counseling and Adoption Services, Refugee Resettlement Program

Location:

329 West 10th Street, Erie, PA 16502, US

Mission Statement

To provide counseling and adoption services and other programs that educate, affirm, and support individuals of all faiths to achieve their fullest human potential.

Description

The United Nations High Commission on Refugees defines a refugee as individuals who have fled their countries of origin and meet the United Nations' criteria of having a "well-founded fear of persecution for reasons of race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group or political opinion.

Through the USCCB and the US State Department, our agency receives approximately 300 new arrivals every year for resettlement in Erie. We work hard to help our clients and their family achieve self-sufficiency through education, medical care, housing, employment services, and referrals to other social services agencies.
