About Fernbank Museum

Location:

767 Clifton Road, NE, Atlanta, GA 30307, US

Mission Statement

Fernbank’s mission is to ignite a passion for science, nature and human culture through exploration and discovery.

Description

Fernbank Museum of Natural History is currently recruiting new volunteers to join us in a variety of roles within the Museum through our adult volunteer program. Volunteering with us is a great way to meet new people while serving your community at an important cultural institution in Atlanta. There is a position for every personality and age, with opportunities such as Lobby Ambassador, Exhibit Facilitator, Forest Restoration Volunteer, and more. Volunteers give nearly 20,000 hours to Fernbank Museum a year, making it possible for us to offer a warm welcome and an educational experience to our visitors every day. In exchange for their time, volunteers are invited to social functions such as field trips, potlucks, and our annual awards brunch. Volunteers also earn Museum passes to share with friends and family, and receive discounts in the Museum Store and the Fernbank Café. So join in on these exciting opportunities today!
