Volunteers needed to bring recognition to our veteran patients: Friendly visits with the patients and their families, recording Veteran's Life Stories, Veteran Pinning Ceremonies, Veteran Appreciation Certificates. The opportunities are vast as we are constantly working to improve service to area Veterans.

Our mission is to improve the quality of life for patients with terminal diagnosis and their families, by providing high quality care, compassion and support.

Great Lakes Caring Hospice offers a full range of health care services such as medical and nursing care, spiritual and emotional support, social work, personal care, special therapies, volunteer and bereavement services. Our services are designed to improve comfort, manage symptoms and deal with other difficulties such as emotional distress and grief. The hospice team also provides emotional and spiritual support to families and friends as they cope with caring for a loved one with an advanced illness, and the grief they experience after their loved one dies.
