TROT provides equine assisted activities and therapies for special needs children and adults. We are currently in need of tall (5'7" and up) volunteers to assist riders during their lessons as side walkers. No experience necessary. Training provided in a 2 hour class. Once the volunteer has tried out for this position the volunteer coordiinator and instructors schedule the volunteer based on our needs and their availablity if and when appropriate.

Description
TROT is a non-profit organization that uses horsemanship as a form of therapy for children and adults with special needs. Participants partake in an individualized therapeutic program designed to promote improvement in muscle strength and neuromuscular coordination as well as to enhance their confidence and self esteem.
The special bond between horse and human provides the incentive for achievements never thought possible.
This is achieved through a comprehensive program provided by a professional staff, trained volunteers, and carefully selected horses.
