Description:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Data Analyst experienced in pulling actionable insights from large data sets. The Data Analyst Intern will play a vital role in collecting, organizing, validating and analyzing survey data on a variety of issues such as health, education, and access to social services.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, evaluate, refine, and automate analytic models using data to address business needs
• Loading survey datasets and performing data clean-up and transformation
• Translate questions and problems into structured analyses
• Identify actionable insights and recommendations
• Creating dashboards to automate report generation using visual analytics tools like Tableau
• Interact with multiple teams in different departments and define requirements for reporting

Desired Skills & Experience:

• min 4-5 years conducting data analysis

• Strong analytical and data mining skills

• Strong data modeling / statistical analysis / predictive modeling experience required (R, SAS and/or Python)

• BS/BA - with a focus in a quantitative field (i.e. finance, mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science)
