You can make a difference. We are actively recruiting volunteers for all rescue stations throughout Virginia. Would you like to be trained to assist in an emergency, or use your time more productively to make a difference in your community? In many cases, all necessary training is provided at no cost to you and there are volunteer opportunities for everyone from emergency medical services (EMS) to administrative duties helping behind or at the scenes.

To reduce death and disability from sudden or serious injury and illness in the Commonwealth through planning and development of a comprehensive, coordinated statewide emergency medical services (EMS) system; and provision of other technical assistance and support to enable the EMS community to provide the highest quality emergency medical care possible to those in need.
