Komen Dallas County Street Team-This program was designed with high school and college students in mind. Help us spread the word about our 2013-2014 community grantees. We need groups of three or more help us place our breast health resource cards throughout Dallas County. No experience is necessary, all you need it a passion for helping others and a desire to give back to your community.

Description

Susan G. Komen Dallas County is the local source for funding breast cancer education, screening and treatment in Dallas County, serving thousands of Dallas County women in 30 cities. Through events like the Komen Dallas Race for the Cure, Susan G. Komen Dallas County invests 75 percent of the funds raised to support vital local breast health services, and dedicates the remaining 25 percent to national research to find the cures. Since 1992, Komen Dallas County has invested more than $27.5 million in local community programs that provide life-saving breast health, and breast cancer services such as: screening mammograms, diagnostics, treatment, patient navigation, transportation, and education to uninsured and underinsured residents of Dallas County. To date, the Affiliate has also invested nearly $8.5 million in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer.
