6329 Ridgecrest Rd.Dallas, TX 75231

At VMLC we teach over 1000 adult students English as a Second Language (ESL) every year. Our students come from over 40 countries and want to learn English to get a better job, become more involved with their children’s education, navigate health and community resources, and more.

During the school year (September-December and January-April) volunteers teach once a week for two hours in our morning, afternoon or evening programs. In the summer, volunteers teach either once a week (Tuesday or Thursday) in the evening during the months of May and June, or teach for one full week (Monday-Thursday for two hours each day) during the morning in June for our daytime summer session.

We provide all the training/materials/curriculum and try to place two teachers in every classroom. During the summer, we have daytime classes at Vickery Meadow, ELM-East Dallas, and West Dallas campuses. We offer evening classes at our Vickery Meadow campus in May and June. See our other listings for other campus locations.

If you can’t commit for the classroom, we also have volunteer positions for enrichment teachers, subs, tutors, office help, computer lab teachers and more. We will cover all of that at a volunteer orientation. Please visit our website at www.vmlc.org to get more information about what we do and check out our videos there!
