SECC Food Pantry provides emergency help to any and all persons who find themselves in difficulties because their basic needs cannot be met due to economic hardship, illness, loneliness, old age, blindness, family disintegration, loss of employment or education.
Most of the people SECC serve are from Southeast Portland, but there are many people seeking help from all of Multnomah and Clackamas counties.
SECC does not charge for any of the services provided to its clients or to the community. We do work to ensure that those served have the opportunity to learn the steps necessary to gain their independence.
SECC Food Pantry servers nearly 400 people each month.
SECC gladly accepts: Financial gifts
Canned foods: Vegetables, Fruits, Soups, Chili, Tuna Packaged foods: Peanut butter, Cereals, Rice, Pasta Fresh produce
SECC needs regular volunteers to: Drive, Answer phones, Pack food boxes, Stock food & clothing, Interview clients, Do office work.
