ORGANIZATION: TRU Community Care

Our clothing donations associates help maintain and restock the clothing and boutique department at TRU Thrift Shop. They sort clothing donations, find the most stylish fashions, prepare donations for sale, price donated items, and merchandise the sales floor. Volunteers help with other store projects as needed.

Volunteering at our thrift shop is a fun activity for one-time groups and ongoing volunteers. It's easy to work into most schedules, and the shop is open Tuesdays - Saturdays 10:00 am-5:30 pm. For ongoing volunteers, we are looking for a 2-4 hour per week commitment.

TRU Thrift Shop profits support our work of ensuring that everyone in our community can live with advanced illness as comfortably, confidently, and fully as possible. TRU Community Care programs include hospice, palliative care, PACE, memory care, and grief services.

About TRU Community Care

Location:

2594 Trailridge Dr E, Lafayette, CO 80026, US

Mission Statement

TRU Community Care (TRU) affirms life at every step of your journey with illness and loss. Our vision is to lead a healthcare transformation by engaging with our communities and offering innovative, meaningful care for those living with illness and loss.

Description

We were founded as Boulder Hospice in 1976 to provide expert medical, emotional, and spiritual care to terminally ill people and their families.

As Colorado's first hospice, we have long set the standard for care of those with advanced illness in our region. And we continue to lead the way today, with innovative programs that honor the choices, preserve the dignity and address the individual needs of the patients and families we are privileged to serve.

As a nonprofit, community effort, we provide our hospice care for everyone who needs us, regardless of ability to pay. With a focus on providing a continuum of care for members of our community living with advanced illness and loss, TRU’s programs include TRU Hospice, TRU PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly), TRU Palliative Care, Landmark Memory Care, and TRU Grief Services.
