Destiny Hospice Care:
YOU can make a difference. Hospice patients need Volunteers to be there when others can't. Though Volunteers never provide 'hands on' care, their caring hearts are just as important to patients and caregivers.
Volunteers come from all walks of life, with differing ages, training and experiences. They provide compassion and emotional support during the "final journey" of our patient's life.
Volunteers visit patient's in their own homes to encourage and support them and their caregivers just by being a presence in their life's. Volunteers also can choose to work in the office to provide patient support with record keeping that is essential to good patient care.
A Volunteer must be over 17 yrs. old.
To begin, you will need to complete an application which includes 3 personal reference forms. These forms can be sent to you via email as an attachment or you can come by our office and pick them up. Once you have these completed you can call the Destiny Hospice office and I will set up an interview with you.
We do a full criminal background check as well as drug screening and we give you a T.B. test, all at our cost. We also provide you with 20 hours of volunteer training and orientation. You will need to provide a physicians release to work.
We have patients throughout the Inland Empire and are ready to train volunteers in all areas.
