Facilitate an interactive 45-60 minute class for vital, homebound seniors that engage them in a meaningful way right from your home or office computer. Flexible class scheduling includes weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, short term series or sporadic classes. Weekday, evening or weekend options.

Lead a class on a topic that you are passionate about. We have had classes with wide-ranging topics that have included: Music and Art appreciation, Social Sciences, History, Health/Wellness, News and Politics, Exercise, Computer training, Language Arts, Interactive Games, Storytelling & more. Let's brainstorm ideas! Each class accommodates from 1 to 9 attendees for meaningful interaction. Classes can be discussion-based, an activity (like a chair exercise class) or performance-based (singing/musical instrument) with some discussion.

Technology Needs:

Computer w/high speed internet & webcam along w/speakers.

You must be 55 or older to volunteer at the Retired & Senior Volunteer Program.

After participating in a thorough interview with an RSVP representative, you will be placed in one of our 600 community-based partner organizations. These community-based organizations include non-profit agencies, schools, hospitals, and cultural institutions located throughout the 5 boroughs of New York City.
