ORGANIZATION: The Puppetry Arts Theatre, Inc.

Puppetry Arts, a Brooklyn based community arts non profit, is seeking new proactive, energetic, and resourceful individuals with a passion for the arts, community (and maybe puppetry) to join our team helping to expand programs, build revenue through a give/get program, and increase outreach.

We welcome all ages 21yo and up that can proactivly support and participate in our organization.

We meet via phone conferences twice a year.

Each month board members recieve an email updating all activities

Board Members are given a committee such as reviewing grants, fundraising, marketing etc...

As a Board Member of our Charity, Puppetry Arts New York, you are NOT Liable for anything the organization does. All finances and programs are transparent are available at ChartiesNYS.com and the Charities Bureau. Check us out there or visit us at www.puppetryarts.org

Description

Puppetry Arts New York (Puppetry Arts) was established in 1997 to supplement cultural programming in neighborhood schools, shelters, and foster care facilities by introducing the work of emerging artists and teachers in the discipline of puppetry. The organization provides affordable and accessible creative arts programming by collaborating with teachers, PTAs, principals, social workers, community leaders, and fellow organizations in four areas of focus: Puppetry Arts In Education, Theatre, Community Events, and the Youth Empowerment Program (YEP!).
