Louisville Nature Center
The Louisville Nature Center needs one volunteer with experience in pond maintenance. Shifts are available Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 am and 4 pm. Volunteer will work one day per week to check the ponds to make sure the pumps, etc are in working order, clean debris out of the ponds as needed, close the pond down in late fall and open the pond up in early spring. Day and time for volunteering is flexible depending on the volunteer’s schedule.

About Louisville Nature Center
3745 Illinois Avenue, Louisville, KY 40213, US
To provide nature education and encourage stewardship in an urban forest.
A truly unique community resource, the Louisville Nature Center offers wonderful opportunities for nature study and recreation--right in the heart of the city!
Among our unique features are: a native wildflower garden and pond, butterfly gardens, hiking trails through the Beargrass Creek State Nature Preserve, a one-of-a-kind bird blind, wildlife exhibits, Beargrass Creek watershed exhibit, a meeting room, and our library--a great place to do research and spend some time indoors when the weather is too hot, cold, or rainy to study nature outside.
