Shirley and Dee

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) - Here is an opportunity to help low-income individuals and families get ahead this tax season by saving money on the high cost of tax preparation, meet new people, improve your skills -- all in just four hours a week. If you've ever wondered how to make a difference and help people in the community, then becoming a tax volunteer may be just right for you.

Weekday, evening and weekend hours are available. A four-hour commitment once a week during the tax season is ideal. There are several tax preparation sites around Winston-Salem.

Free training workshops will be held prior to the start of the tax season and independent online study is available all year. The workshops include a program overview (who, why, and how) and practice using IRS-approved tax preparation software, as well as helpful resource materials.

Call us for more information; we look forward to chatting with you!
