Rock out to great music at Naper Settlement's annual Naper Nights Community Concert Series!

Date: Friday, June 15, 2018 and Saturday, June 16, 2018
Volunteer Shift: 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Volunteer positions include:

Friday Night:

School of Rock 5-5:40 PM
Local music school, School of Rock, will be showcasing their top students during this rock n’ roll set featuring songs we all know and love!

Wall of Denial
6:30-8 PM
In 2011 Wall of Denial was formed to capture audiences with the music of Stevie Ray Vaughan The band members have many years performing Stevie's music. Especially Gary Stratton, who has performed Stevie's music for over 20 years. Combine that with the other very talented members, and you have a great band that is solely focused on having the public relive and enjoy that great Stevie Ray Vaughan experience.

The PettyBreakers 8-10 PM
The PettyBreakers is the nation’s premier "Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers" tribute act. Based out of Southern California, this band accurately recreates the sights, sounds and concert experience of a Tom Petty concert. All the classics... American Girl...Break Down... Free Fallin’... Mary Jane’s Last Dance...Refugee... Runnin’ Down a Dream... and so many more... perfectly reproduced.

Saturday Night:

Tom Thumb's Band6-7:30 PM
Tom Thumb's band revisits the music of Bob Dylan with a 6-piece electric band. Based out of Chicago this band features current and former members of Paradise Waits and Dark Star Orchestra.

Old Shoe featuring Low Down Brass Band Horns 7:45-10 PM
Come hear a special evening of Paul Simon music at Naper Nights with one set covering the album "Graceland" in it's entirety! Old Shoe is a five-piece Americana Roots Rock band based out of Chicago, Illinois, made up of talented songwriters from across the country. In addition to releasing their own albums, the group frequents the Midwest festival circuits and has even produced 7 consecutive installments of their own festival, Shoe Fest.

Come join us for fun, food, music and history at Naper Settlement! Simply complete an online volunteer application to begin the process by going to http://www.napersettlement.org/FormCenter/Volunteers-4/2017-General-Volunteer-Application-61. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old.

New volunteers will receive a summer season t-shirt at check-in and all volunteers will receive dinner. Email nsvolunteer@naperville.il.us with questions.

Description

Naper Settlement is a history museum that serves northeastern Illinois as a unique educational and cultural resource. Through its costumed interpreters and 30 historic buildings located on the 13-acre grounds, history is brought to life with educational and hands-on activities for 150,000 visitors each year.

Naper Settlement is just steps away from downtown Naperville. Open year-round, museum provides fun and interactive learning opportunities for all ages. Become a part of our community as we portray and compare daily life from pioneer to Victorian to modern times.
