Non-Profit Program helping Older Adults in Nassau County
EAC, Inc. Senior Respite Program
EAC Network In-Home Respite Services is a not-for-profit program helping older adults and their family caregivers in Nassau County. We will work with your schedule and any travel limitations. We have many opportunities-
1)visiting with an older adult once a week for as few as 2 hours up to 6 hours.
2)working to publicize the program, including working on flyers or contacting helpful parties
3) public speaking
4) staffing volunteer or health fair tables, attending events such as Memory Cafe's.
If you choose to visit an older adult, you will enjoy purposeful activities such as walking, talking, chair exercises, listening to music. You will not provide personal care or household tasks. No driving required. You will relieve a family caregiver so they can go out for a weekly break of 2-6 hours. No experience necessary. We provide training.
No additional volunteer opportunities at this time.

50 Clinton Street, Suite 202, Hempstead, NY 11550, US
To empower caregivers of the frail elderly with supportive in-home services. Senior Respite is dedicated to helping families care for an older adult at home.
Respite is time-off for the caregiver, a period of relief from the day-in, day-out care of an elderly family member. Respite companions provide ongoing 2-6 hour, one day a week, visits.
