Standing Together to End Sexual Assault (STESA), Formerly Santa Barbara Rape Crisis Center (SBRCC), is looking for volunteers to help with reception duties Monday through Friday, 9AM-5PM. As a Volunteer Receptionist, you would be responsible for answering phones, routing calls appropriately, greeting visitors, and general administrative support. No prior reception experience is required. STESA will provide you with necessary training and orientation. STESA would greatly appreciate any time you can provide - even a couple hours would make a HUGE difference to our staff! Good candidates for this position should be friendly, self-motivated, willing to learn & ask questions, able to follow directions, and comfortable working with people of diverse backgrounds. Volunteers who are BILINGUAL in Spanish and English are encouraged to participate

Description

Standing Together to End Sexual Assault (STESA), formerly Santa Barbara Rape Crisis Center (SBRCC), is a private, non-profit agency that has provided counseling, crisis intervention, and support services to survivors of sexual assault and their families since 1974. The organization began with a handful of volunteers who identified a critical need in the community. Since then STESA has developed into an organization which each year provides multiple services to hundreds of clients and education to thousands of people in our community.

STESA is an inclusive organization that welcomes survivors, significant others, volunteers and staff of all gender identities, sexual orientations, races, classes, abilities, and ages.
