Sanctuary Hospice is searching for bilingual volunteers, primarily English and Spanish, to assist as either a Patient Care Volunteer or as an Office Volunteer.
- As a Patient Care Volunteer you will be making a positive difference in someone's life. Your main goal is providing the patient and/or family with emotional support and companionship. Patient Care Volunteers go out to the patient's home or to their assisted living facility. Volunteer activities may include watching TV, reading, listening to music, crafts, scrap-booking, assisting with letter writing, providing social stimulation, and most of all becoming a new friend. Please note that volunteers provide no medical care, medical assistance, or personal hygiene care.
- As an Office Volunteer you will be gaining valuable Hospice experience and understanding by assisting us with general office admin duties, such as copying, filing, faxing, putting together patient materials, and reception.
If you are looking for a rewarding volunteer opportunity then we'd love to hear from you! We are seeking volunteer for both Los Angeles and Orange County.
**Please note that this is a recurring volunteer opportunity. We can work with your schedule, but are looking for at least a six month to one year time commitment.
