Volunteers are needed to transport blood and blood products in LifeServe Blood Center vehicles, to hospitals in Mason City and surrounding communities within the LifeServe Blood Center service area. Drivers will be entrusted to perform their duties timely and dependably with minimal supervision under the direction of the Product Management Staff. Shifts are regular and weekday in the morning and evenings as well as Saturday mornings and are typically between 1-5 hours.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Transport blood and blood products between LifeServe Blood Center facility, off campus mobile blood drive sites and hospitals.
- Operate and refuel corporate vehicle assigned.
- Communicate delays in delivery to LifeServe Blood Center staff via phone.
- Complete Volunteer Program orientation and training.
- Adhere to safety guidelines set forth by organizational and state statutes.

As one of the 15th largest blood centers in the country, LifeServe Blood Center provides blood and blood products to more than 90 hospitals located across Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota. LifeServe Blood Center is committed to providing premier service to volunteer blood donors and access to a safe, quality blood supply for hospitals and patients.
Every two seconds, someone, somewhere needs blood. Just one blood donation can impact the lives of up to three different hospital patients. At LifeServe Blood Center, we strive to help people every day; and in order to do that, we need blood donors every day. We need neighbors helping neighbors - people who want to make an impact on a local level. Because at the end of the day, it's about achievement, it's about service and helping our communities. At the end of the day, it's about being a blood donor. Most importantly, it's about life.
