It’s lack of transportation.To make sure patients can get to and from treatment, the American Cancer Society offers the Road to Recovery transportation program.To become a volunteer driver, you need:A safe and reliable vehicleA current, valid driver’s licenseProof of automobile insuranceA good driving recordA commitment to confidentialityA training will be provided for all volunteersTo become a volunteer driver in your area call 1.877.901.2862 or visit cancer.org.
