Do you like to cook? Homeless youth would love to be a recipient of your delicious meals. Cook at your home, by yourself or with a group, and drop it off at one of our locations. Here are the details:

You can donate a meal to Mecum House, a shelter for ages 10-17 years old, or the Sheakley Center for Youth, a shelter for ages 18-24 years old. Mecum House feeds 15 clients per meal and the Sheakley Center feeds 40 clients per meal. Lunch, dinner, and brunch slots are available on weekdays and weekends.

What an easy way to help our youth, while doing something you enjoy! Please contact Sarah for more details, dates available, and shelter information. We ask that meals are only dropped off due to covid-19; please do not use the shelter kitchens or serve to youth at this time.

Thank you!

About Lighthouse Youth & Family Services

Mission Statement

The mission of Lighthouse Youth & Family Services is to empower young people and families to succeed through a continuum of care that promotes healing and growth.

Lighthouse Youth & Family Services is a multiservice agency providing social services to children, youth and families in southwestern Ohio.

Operating since 1969, Lighthouse is nationally recognized as an innovator in services for families in crisis, for homeless youth and young adults, and for youth learning to become self-sufficient.

The agency provides early childhood services; behavioral health and psychiatric services; home-based services to families; services to youth engaged with the juvenile justice system; community residential treatment facilities; foster care and adoption; independent living services; and opportunities through education.

At any given time there are over 500 children and youth in Lighthouse residential care. Each day Lighthouse staff members serve over 2,000 children and families through its community based services. Last year, the agency served over 6,000 young people and families.
