Help us spread the word about Alzheimer's Disease...become an educational presenter (Program Ambassador) for the Alzheimer's Association.
Ambassadors are passionate citizens willing to speak for the Association. The job of the Education Program Ambassador is to deliver community education programs developed by the Alzheimer’s Association, using scripted curricula, PowerPoint presentations and other prepared training materials provided by the Association. All topics are related to Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias as well as the information that affected individuals and families need.
Training and educational materials are provided to you. We ask that you commit to provide approx. 6 presentations a year. Scheduling and location are flexible. Assocation Staff will be available to provide support.
Expectations:
- Be available to provide no less than six presentations per year based upon chapter need.
- Arrive on time and present all programs for which you volunteer
- Complete all required program records and return them to the chapter program office within one week of the program
- Provide feedback to the chapter concerning any questions or suggestions to promote communication and continuous process improvement
- Refer attendees to the resources and programs of the Alzheimer’s Association as appropriate
- Act at all times as a trusted representative of the Alzheimer’s Association

Description
The Alzheimer's Association provides services to the Greater Pennsylvania community. Our support groups are led by trained volunteers and held regularly. Our education programs for the general public, both online and in person, feature information on topics such as diagnosis, warning signs, communication, living with Alzheimer's disease and caregiving techniques.
The Association is the leading voice for Alzheimer's disease advocacy, making sure the need for Alzheimer's care, education and research is heard at every level of government, including Harrisburg.
As the largest nonprofit funder of Alzheimer's research, the Association is committed to accelerating the global process toward methods of treatment, prevention and ultimately, a cure.
