The volunteer experience at Bella Vista Transitional Care Center will be one you never forget. Spend whatever time your schedule allows visiting one on one with our elderly residents, leading lively activities or carrying out responsibilities in our activities office. The staff here is completely supportive of your efforts and open to enthusiastic volunteers. Your desire to serve is deeply appreciated by our staff and our sweet senior residents.
Join Our Volunteer Program
Volunteer opportunities abound at Bella Vista Transitional Care Center, located on 3033 Augusta St, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401.
We would like to have you over to:
- "Adopt" a Grandparent
- Help with crafts
- Assist in events
- Share your talents
- Participate in many other activities
All types of volunteer efforts are welcome at our facility.
Whether it be once-in-awhile or a weekly commitment, we will work with your schedule to see that your gift of time is a good fit.
A short application, orientation and interview with the Activity Department are required.
Volunteers currently needed for Saturday, May 12 th at 2:00 PM

Description
Just one glance at our Activities Calendar and you know you’re in for something fun and informative. Once you arrive, we review with you and your family what your interests are, what you like to do at home, and assess your activity level. Then we custom-tailor a program (either in a group or in your room, one-on-one) to suit your individual needs.
You’ll never be bored! How about an ice cream social, an art class, music appreciation, creative writing, or a cooking class? We have a men’s club and classes where you’ll learn an entirely new craft or skill. In fact, currently on our Calendar of Events is a cooking demonstration for Turkish Treats! Each day there are plenty of activities to not only keep you busy, but a place where you can go to socialize with others during your stay. Not up for group activities? No problem. We’ll come to you, right there in your room. We also feature a pet therapy program, where we bring in animals for you to love and care for. We’re not sure who enjoys it more - the animals - or our residents!
