About

We are looking for experienced, cat-loving volunteers to spend quality time with our rescued cats at our Petco location on the UPPER EAST SIDE (Lexington Ave & E. 86th St).

UPDATE 12/1/16: We urgently need new volunteers for morning shifts on Wednesdays and Thursdays and for evening shifts on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Please contact us if you are available at these times. Other shifts are also available. We always need weekday morning volunteers. Freelancers, college students, retirees, and everyone else with morning availability welcome. If you would like to help out, we'd love to hear from you.

Morning shifts begin at 9:00 or 9:30am. Evening shifts begin at 6:00 or 6:30pm. Shifts take about 2 hours. Volunteers feed the cats, clean cages and give medications -- in addition to grooming and socializing the cats, and giving them lots of love.

People with cat care experience are preferred. Volunteers must commit to a shift every week. We prefer volunteers who can make a commitment of at least three months. We have limited weekday evening shifts available.

This is a great way to make a difference in the lives of our rescued cats. To learn more and to schedule an orientation, please email info@anjelliclecats.com or submit the Volunteer Match inquiry form. Please specify if your preference is for Petco 86 (UES) or Petco 100 (UWS).

Volunteers are also urgently needed at our UPPER WEST SIDE location: Petco 100 (Columbus Ave at W. 100th St) and at our Cat Room at Spoiled Brats on W. 49th Street.

Anjellicle Cats Rescue is a no-kill, all-volunteer, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. We are a member of the Mayor's Alliance and a New Hope Partner with the New York Animal Care & Control (ACC). For more information, please visit www.anjelliclecats.com.
