The Yolo County Library-Volunteer Program is looking for a volunteer that may help with the Yolo Reads Program and wants to assist the adult community. They will be working regularly with one adult, or a small group of adults, to provide tutoring to identify his/her reading and writing goals and map out a plan to meet those goals. Help engage the learner in tutoring sessions based on his/her interests and goals. Will also be in charge of completing short monthly reports and must attend volunteer trainings and meetings. A three hour orientation along with tutoring materials will be provided. Must have moderate level of computer skills with good organizational abilities. Minimum age of 18; no experience necessary. Two hour shifts per week, with a 6 month commitment requested.
