ORGANIZATION: Yolo County Library - Shipley Walters Center for Yolo County Archives and Library Services

The Yolo County Library-Volunteer Program is in need of a Technology Aide who wants to increase their skills in using library-related technology while providing a much-needed service to the library and its community. The volunteer will provide individual help to library patrons using library computer work stations (including using the internet), computer software programs, and other library machines. Volunteers might also be asked to help staff with planning of computer classes. Patient, friendly people are needed with good communication skills and who enjoy working with others. Organizational skills, willingness and ability to follow directions along with knowledge of basic PC and printer maintenance are desired. This is a volunteer position for 4 hours a week for a minimum of 6 months. This could be a community service hours position for High School students Orientation, instruction and regular review with a staff member are provided.
