Yolo County Library takes pride in fostering great customer service to our communities. Included within the library system are the archives. The archive is the repository that safe keeps the historical records and histories of Yolo County. Included in the vast collection are various records that document the existence of the library and its services dating back to the late 19 th Century. The archives seek enthusiastic individuals to develop the finding aid for this collection that will grant the patrons greater access to the record. This work can be done by a library student/ technician or volunteer who may be interested in the histories of libraries. Duties include the development of the data sheet which describes briefly the source of the collection; and to create the biographical and historical description, as well as, a box and folder list. The volunteer must have minimum experience working in archives and special collections. The hours available are Monday-Friday between the hours of 9:00am to 3:00pm.
