Mission Statement

To preserve and present the historically intact 1840s Garfield Farm and Inn as an 1840s working farm museum through the presentation of northern Illinois' settlement history, agricultural development, and its environment.

Description

The 375 acre site includes the 1846 inn, an 1849 horse barn, and an 1842 hay and grain barn in various stages of restoration with over 20 special events per year reflecting the history, farming and environment. 55 acres are being restored as prairie, wetalnds and oak savanna.
