Share your musical talents with seniors and adults with disabilities by volunteering at our Adult Day Health Center in South Seattle (one-time or ongoing; Mondays or Tuesdays, 10am - 11am or 11am - 12pm)

All skill levels welcomed, ranging from students and hobbyists to professionals!

Performance opportunities via Zoom (Mondays - Thursdays: 11am or 1:30pm) are also available.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Perform music (using vocals / instrument of choice) in group setting, adapting to audience’s mood and interests, as needed. Must keep mask on, even while performing
   
2. Assume responsibility for set up and clean-up of any musical equipment brought to site.
3. Greet and socialize with clients, providing positive support and encouraging their engagement.

Skills:

1. Experience or interest in working with elderly or adults with disabilities.
2. Comfort in leading solo musical performance.
3. Strong communication skills, demonstrating positivity, patience, and compassion.
4. Willingness to be flexible and accommodating in group environment.

1. Must be at least 18 years old (or a youth accompanied by an adult)
2. Submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
3. Submit proof of flu shot, if volunteering during active flu season.
4. Submit a Tuberculosis screening questionnaire and obtain TB test, if needed.
5. Complete new volunteer application process.
6. Pass Washington State Patrol background check.
7. Complete an orientation and volunteer training.
8. Adhere to a confidentiality policy and pledge.

At our Adult Day Health Centers, participants receive skilled rehabilitation, nursing therapies, and other health and social services in a supportive, social environment, including educational and recreational programs.
