We have a great opportunity for you to help make this event a success! We expect more than 1,000 walkers to attend the 27th Annual Walk for Rice, on Saturday, June 24th, 2017 hosted by Asian Counseling and Referral Service (ACRS). Join us as we strive toward our goal of raising $342,000 to help bring an end to the fight against hunger.

* Who uses the ACRS Food Bank?
Over 5,700 unduplicated individuals, 65% of ACRS Food Bank clients are children under the age of 18 or seniors over the age of 65.

Please come and support Walk for Rice by volunteering!

Event Volunteers Needed:

Parking/Traffic Control @ Seward Park 7:30-10:30 am (12 volunteers needed) Direct cars to park in appropriate locations. Allow VIPs, performers and event staff in gate to reserved parking areas. Keep roundabout clear for shuttle buses.

Traffic Control @ ACRS 7:30-9 or 9-10:30 am (5-10 volunteers needed, One or two shifts)

Direct cars to park at ACRS and have passengers riding the shuttle sign permission slips prior to boarding bus.

Cheering Station on Course 9:30-11:30 am ( 5-10 volunteers needed)

Encourage walkers/runners with provided signage
