Volunteer tutors needed to work with underserved youth during our 2019 summer session. The program runs for seven weeks from July 1, 2019 through August 16, 2019. You will be matched one-to-one with a student, and tutor the student once a week for two hours (7 sessions in total). Students range from (entering) 2nd grade through 12th grade. There are no weekend hours available.

Description
Star Learning Center is one of 27 programs sponsored by Goddard Riverside Community Center. Star provides one-to-one tutoring to students in grades 2-12. Tutoring is offered in all school subjects to students who are from low-income families and can't afford private tutoring. Tutors are volunteers who are individually trained and supervised by staff with education backgrounds.
