In an effort to promote play, healthy families and social responsibility, we are collaborating with the city of Anaheim, Disney VoluntEARS, local community residents and KaBOOM! Organizers to help build and redesign a safe and exiting playground at Willow Park for families in the surrounding areas.
Wednesday September 21 st, will be a prep day which will involve getting all of the pieces ready and staging everything so Saturday’s build day. We do not require everyone to be there the entire day; morning/afternoon shifts are available.
We need volunteers to help with the following:
- Build and attach playground pieces
- Mix concrete, move mulch, etc.
Team Leaders are needed!!! All skill and ability levels welcome, no experience necessary. You must be able to attend a 1-hour orientation prior to Build Day.
- Adults ages 18+ may work on any team and handle power tools
- youth ages 16-17 may volunteer on site, but cannot enter the playground footprint or operate power tools.
- Youth under the age of 16 must remain in the youth activities area under proper supervision.
Tools, gloves, food and refreshments will be provided.
