Chase After a Cure is currently seeking volunteers and interns in the greater Charleston area. Chase After a Cure is a small organization dedicated to raising funds and awareness for childhood cancer research. Research that is dedicated to finding less toxic treatments and alternatives for children and one day a cure. Chase After a Cure focuses its efforts on raising funds for the only childhood cancer research lab in the state of South Carolina, located right here in Charleston. In doing so, Chase After a Cure conducts various events throughout the year to raise those funds. We are currently seeking volunteers and possibly interns to assist in running operations effectively not only in the office but with the planning and managing of events. We have several events coming up to which we will need to enlist a lot of help facilitating. We also have a large annual event, our Chase After a Cure Gala to which we need assistance with, as well. Experience with data entry, graphic design, public relations, event planning, social media, are encouraged but not required. The only mandatory requirement is a smile, a method of transportation, and a passion for doing what we can in the Chase After a Cure for Childhood Cancer. Hope to hear from you soon and hope that you too can join team Chase.

Mission Statement
Chase After a Cure is a Non Profit Corporation dedicated to children's cancer research. We raise awareness for children's cancer and provide funding for research labs who specialize in children's cancer research. Our main focus for research is the more aggressive and deadly cancer called neuroblastoma.
Description
CAAC was established in 2009 and received its 501(c)(3) status in 2010 by a mother whose son, Chase, was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of childhood cancer called Neuroblastoma. Neuroblastoma is a rare and deadly cancer that affects approximately 750 children a year. It is rare, but the most common solid tumor cancer diagnosed in infants (less than 2 years old) and the third most common cancer in children under the age of 5. The survival rate for children diagnosed with high risk Neuroblastoma is less than 30%.
