Our Des Plains hospice office is in need of patient office support volunteers to help with calls. Duties would include making telephone calls to check in with our patients and their caregivers weekly. These valuable volunteers work "behind the scenes" with our office staff to provide an indispensable service! Our patients caregivers, feel cared for, when you ask "how are you and do you have you have everything that you need"!The office makes these calls on Wednesdays and or Thursdays and we can set up a flexible schedule based on your availability.
Our office volunteer also assist with calling medical offices and scanning, filing etc.
Volunteers must have their own transportation, be atleast 18 years of age and submit to a 2-step TB test and a background check. Most volunteers give 3 to 4 hours a week, but we are flexable.
