The Grounds Maintenance Volunteer performs a variety of tasks that ensures that the ranch facilities are safe and presentable for animals, guests and clients. Tasks may include spring, fall, and after-storm grounds clean-ups, tree and shrub care, plantings, small repairs to pens, cages, and fences, set up and break down of tables chairs, and tents and other equipment for special events. The Grounds Maintenance Volunteer may participate in community outreach programs such as farm tours and parades as time permit.
Planting flowers and trees also to help beautify the grounds at TGMR
Qualifications:
- Love of animals and compassion for others; commitment to mission of Ranch
- Ability and willingness to perform physical work which may include raking, bending,
and lifting yard debris, and using power tools. - Good listening and communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Dependable and punctual

Abused and neglected animals are given life-long care to recover and thrive. Based on their emotional, cognitive, and social needs, humans are guided in their interaction with the animals, and when they leave the Ranch, take with them experiences that increase self-worth, healthy interdependence, and emotional well-being.
Description
The Gress Mountain Ranch is a non-profit animal sanctuary for large, small, and exotic animals and is dedicated to educating and helping both people and animals who have been victims of abuse, neglect, and the unwanted aftereffects.
The ranch located in Orefield, Pennsylvania on a beautiful 15 acre hilly tract situated on the 2nd highest point in the Lehigh Valley. It is certified by National Wildlife Federation as a "wildlife habitat" and is currently a forever home to over 40 animals.
